Paestum is the classical Roman name of a major Graeco-Roman city in the Campania region of Italy. It is located in the north of Cilento, near the coast about 85 km SE of Naples in the province of Salerno. [Source: Wikipedia ]

I had never heard of Paestum before venturing to Italy but was made aware by a tour guide in Amalfi. After having spent 4 days in Amalfi we decided to travel south to Paestum before travelling to Rome. Paestum is mainly about Greek temples.

What confronted us was I think the highlight of a seven week around the world trip. You can walk all over this site in a couple of hours – you will never forget it. This photo below is taken by my son Jacob.
