If you turn right at the ocean when you drive in to Yepoon you are able to explore a nice range of beaches. I had some time to kill while Greg my brother-in-law did some ocean paddling. My original plan was a short drive to Bluff Point and a walk around the point. I missed the turn off, however and ended up at Emu Park where there is a nice outlook and a wind scuplture at Kele Park.
I then headed back towards Yepoon and stopped at a number of spots on the way each with a nice short walk and view of some natural features. A memory I will keep with me was the number of grey nomads in the caravan parks, how little traffic was around and what a perfect environment this area of the world has in the Queensland winter.
